"Leaders Build Bridges"

Fire Chief's Message

Message From Chief Cutino

Welcome to the River Delta Fire District (RDFD). As you explore our website, I hope it will provide insight into what we mean when we say, “Committed to Excellence, Delivered with Pride.”

Our vision for the future includes bringing all of the surrounding fire agencies together to better serve our communities and to improve firefighter safety.  As your Fire Chief I am committed to continuous improvement of the district, ensuring it meets community expectations. We are actively working to forge relationships with surrounding fire agencies through automatic and mutual aid agreements. We have already made excellent progress.

We stand ready to serve and protect as we respond to the needs of the community at all times providing exceptional fire and emergency services. Please check back often as I plan to enhance our website in an effort to build an even better and stronger partnership with our community.

Our district is dedicated to making the community a safer place to live, work, play and travel. We are continually working to ensure that our training, equipment and facilities meet the needs of the citizens and communities we serve. We are on a mission to educate and prepare the public for emergencies. But the reality is, during a large scale disaster, there will not be enough firefighters to help everyone. We need our community members to be part of the solution.

By following the simple steps of being prepared, getting involved and staying informed, the public can successfully plan for any disaster. Here are a few simple tips to help you get started. Disaster Preparedness.

When a major emergency occurs, go to our home page for details. Our PulsePoint and Active 911 page are a real-time activity log that will show you the calls for service being answered by our firefighters.

Please explore this website and visit the Sacramento County Emergency Preparedness website as there are numerous emergency resources available to help with advance planning and preparation. River Delta Fire District has a strong reputation for excellence. When we work together, we strengthen community relations and further enhance our resiliency.

Sincerley,

Paul J. Cutino , Fire Chief
